EYE Lighting employees gather for the 2015 United Way Day of CaringThis is the fifth year EYE Lighting employees have volunteered their construction and gardening skills to help organizations and businesses within Lake County through the Day of Caring. This year, June 22, at the Mentor Senior Center employees will be landscaping around the building, including pulling weeds and mulching flowerbeds.

President and Chief Operating Officer Tom Salpietra said EYE employees are grateful to give back to the community during the Day of Caring which allows them a chance to get out of their normal setting for the day and help those most in need within the community. “We know the residents of Mentor, especially the seniors that use the community center, will appreciate our hard work and enjoy the refreshed look of the building.” Salpietra said. “It is an honor to be part of the hundreds of volunteers needed to complete necessary projects for our friends and neighbors in the community,” he added. Salpietra also serves on the United Way of Lake County Board of Directors.
